Still leary of social media?

Most of my clients I talk to about social media or Web 2.0 are still leary. They don’t understand it so they don’t want to get involved. I try to explain how it can benefit their business, attract targeted customers, and drive tons of free traffic to their website and blog but they still don’t want to get involved.

While most small and medium sized business owners don’t want to get involved in social media, large companies are jumping on the bandwagon. In today’s San Francisco Chronicle there’s an article about how much these large companies are spending on ads on Facebook and other popular social media websites. It’s hard to ignore the possibility of advertising on websites that get millions of new visitors every month.
