Sarah Palin made me do it…

I don’t know about you but I’m sick and tired of this presidential election. The media scrutinizes every syllable the candidates speak and twist everything out of context. The simplest phrase is blown out of proportion and spreads like wildfire around the internet. It’s hard to tell fact from fiction making it harder to know what each candidate stands for.

John McCain comments about the war in Iraq and Barack Obama responds almost instantly in a speech a thousand miles away. Sarah Palin makes a speech in Michigan and Joe Biden responds instantly from Florida.

People are twittering day and night about the election and creating their own facts about the candidates. Wikipedia is changing by the minute with new “facts” about each candidate. Facebook conversations are burning bandwidth faster than we’re burning gasoline. This will become known as the Web 2.0 election.

Well, since Sarah Palin can come out of nowhere and become a instant celebrity, I thought I could use the power of Social Media to make a difference in this election. Take a look at this video and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

TEd Prodromou for President

I want to thank Pat Townsley of www.ptre.net for convincing me to run!

Vote early and vote often for Ted Prodromou!!

The idea of “insert-your-name-here” for president is a great one and should be enjoyed by all! I read that the video's creator had issues with the playing of his video and demanded cessation of its use. Too bad. If the video's creator were wise, he would have worked out some sort of monetary relationship with the I-News 3 site owner to their mutual benefit. Of course, considering the amount of traffic this site has generated and could continue to generate, the I-News 3 site owner (Mr. Lopez?) would be foolish not to find someone else to produce a similar video to keep the momentum going.

I'm sure he collected thousands of email addresses in the few hours the site was up. It was a brilliant lead generator. The owner would be a fool not to make a deal with him and share the email addresses.
